Upgrading Sky+ V1

Follow these instructions and you should not have any issues upgrading your Sky+ Box. However you do so at your own risk.

  1. Before you start, Press Services, Select SKY+ Setup and set "Instant Rewind" to "Off" and "Save New Settings".

  2. Unplug all other cables, remove the lid, it slides back (T10 Torx-Type Security Bit Required).

  3. Unplug old disc, plug in new virgin disc, power up, wait two minutes and press Sky Key.

  4. Perform A "Full System Reset" (Press Services,4,01 Select,8 Housekeeping) and Wait For Box To Restart.

  5. Remember to take all necessary precautions to prevent damage by static discharge.

  6. After testing is completed, disconnect power, unscrew drive cradle and remove old disc and replace with new drive.

  7. Reassemble and put your box into service.
